About Alfa of Brooklyn Motors Inclfa Motors of Brooklyn was established in 1983 by Sal Sorci and Gappinno Vacarella, who brought extensive knowledge of Italian and European vehicles from Sicily—reflected in the shop’s name. What began as a small two-bay garage has grown into a seven-bay facility at the corner of Hicks and Union Streets in Brooklyn.
Over time, the shop’s focus expanded from Italian vehicles to include German, Swedish, and other imported makes. In 1988, Sal Sorci became the sole owner, continuing to grow the business and its reputation for quality service. In 1997, Kesh Bachu joined the team, bringing valuable experience with Japanese vehicles gained through years of work as a mechanic in Trinidad.
